Biblioplex respects user privacy. This app is designed to manage a Magic: The Gathering collection primarily on the user’s device. Biblioplex does not collect, sell, or share personal information through its own servers, and it does not transmit collection data or account information to any Biblioplex-operated back-end service.
This Privacy Policy explains how Biblioplex handles information when the app is used on iPhone, iPad, or other Apple platforms.
Information Biblioplex Collects
- Biblioplex does not require users to create an account.
- Biblioplex does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, physical address, precise location, payment information, contacts, health data, or other sensitive information.
- Biblioplex stores collection-management data locally on the user’s device. This may include information such as card names, deck or collection entries, inventory counts, wishlist items, search queries, and related app settings. This information is not intended to identify a person.
- Users may store player names when using the life counter, but player names and other gameplay information is never transmitted off the device.
Information Sent to Third Parties
To provide card lookup and related functionality, Biblioplex sends anonymous requests to third-party services such as Scryfall. These requests may include card names, set names, users’ search terms, or similar gameplay and cataloging data needed to retrieve Magic: The Gathering card information.
Biblioplex does not intentionally send personal information or sensitive information to those third-party services.
Scryfall states that its public website and API use HTTPS, and its API documentation states that requests are served over HTTPS using TLS 1.2 or better.
Users should understand that any information sent directly from the app to a third-party service is governed by that third party’s own privacy policy and terms. Scryfall’s privacy documentation and terms are available on its website.
Data Storage
Biblioplex does not maintain its own remote servers for user data. Data created in the app remains on the user’s device unless the user independently exports it, backs it up through Apple device services, or sends requests to a third-party service through app features.
Because Biblioplex does not store user data on Biblioplex servers, Biblioplex generally cannot access, correct, or delete information stored only on the user’s device. Users can manage or delete local app data by deleting items within the app or uninstalling the app, subject to any device-level backup or restore settings they have enabled.
App Store Privacy Disclosure
Apple requires a privacy policy URL for iOS apps submitted through App Store Connect. Apple also requires developers to disclose data collected by the app in the App Privacy section of App Store Connect unless an exception applies.
As described above, Biblioplex does not collect data from users through developer-operated servers, and any limited information sent to third-party card-data services is non-personal app functionality data rather than information used to identify a user.
Children’s Privacy
Biblioplex is not directed to children under 13, whether to collect personal information or otherwise, and Biblioplex does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app’s features, third-party integrations, or legal requirements. When updated, the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
